Wilmington Trust, one of the nation's leading wealth management companies, announced that it has added three senior wealth advisors to the company's Wealth Advisory Services (WAS) business in the Northeast region.

Wilmington Trust's new hires are Christopher T. Casey, CFA®, Michael F. Hoyt, and Jay Beckett Wailes, CFA. All three work in the Boston office of Wilmington Trust FSB and specialize in serving high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as endowments and foundations, with asset allocation, investment strategy implementation, security selection, and client reporting. They join Wilmington Trust from Boston Private Bank & Trust Company.

Mr. Casey is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charterholder and will serve as an investment advisor. He worked at Boston Private for 11 years, most recently as senior vice president, portfolio manager, and director of equity research. His work involved the formulation of macroeconomic strategy and management of equity research and trading professionals. He also served as the head of the growth-and-income equity strategy team. Mr. Casey is a graduate of Yale University and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the CFA Institute.

Mr. Hoyt has 23 years of experience in financial services and joins Wilmington Trust as a portfolio manager. He was with Boston Private for the last eight years, most recently as a senior vice president and senior portfolio manager. He was a member of the firm's Investment Policy Committee and headed the growth-and-value equity strategy team. Prior to Boston Private, Mr. Hoyt was a senior investment officer and portfolio manager at Cape Cod Bank & Trust Company; he also worked at PaineWebber and BayBank. Mr. Hoyt is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and has an MBA from Suffolk University.

Mr. Wailes is a CFA charterholder and joins Wilmington Trust as a portfolio manager with 32 years of investment management experience supporting high-net-worth clients and institutions. For the last seven years, Mr. Wailes was with Boston Private, where he served as a senior vice president and senior portfolio manager. In addition, he headed the tactical growth equity strategy team. Prior to Boston Private, Mr. Wailes worked in Boston at Beacon Asset Management, State Street Bank and Trust, and Bank of New England. He began his career at Mercantile Safe Deposit and Trust Company in Baltimore. Mr. Wailes is a graduate of Denison University and a member of the CFA Institute.
