XOEye Technologies announced it has partnered with Vuzix Corporation. Together, the organizations will focus on delivering custom, end-to-end enterprise wearable technology implementations consisting of ANSI certified smart glasses, a customized embedded Linux software platform, and advanced features and applications to manufacturing, construction, field services and other deskless industries in North America and Europe. XOEye will bundle Vuzix' M100 smart glasses with its XOLinux operating system and Vision cloud-based management and communications platform to deliver a wearable computing environment suitable for the toughest frontline work scenarios within manufacturing, construction, field services, and widely distributed organizations.

This marks a significant addition to the wearable operating system (OS) landscape that is currently focused on Google's Android OS, offering a familiar enterprise approach with numerous benefits in speed of development, flexibility of deployment and community contributions to the advancement of the OS .XOEye will also offer customized services including training, development, consulting and ongoing maintenance services in support of its platform solutions. The devices will be equipped with an enterprise-grade operating system, XOLinux; designed specifically for business applications and to integrate more seamlessly with existing technology infrastructure.
