Delegation of Aircraft producer Boeing, one of key partners of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation paid a visit to Verkhnaya Salda to take part in UBM Board of Directors and discuss current projects.

The American delegation included Suppler Management Director Mr. William Sheffer, UBM BoD Member Mr. Richard Ullman, Senior Finance Manager J. Poleschuk and two Finance Analysts Jeffrey Melville and Andrew Baber. Boeing managers were advised of VSMPO manufacturing processes, visited the Company melting & casting division, a new area of skull furnaces, a forging division based on 4,000t. press operation, a ring rolling press line being constructed and machining area for die forgings.

«VSMPO is our important partner. We are glad to watch good changes in the shops we visited. As for issues discussed with CEO Mr. Voevodin, they are related to quality of our products and on-time delivery performance. Through our cooperation we should ensure reliable supply chain under all Boeing programs», Suppler Management Director Mr. William Sheffer mentioned.

Besides the current issues the representatives of the American aircraft concern discussed future plans with VSMPO-AVISMA top management. Particularly, Boeing 777Х and supplies of VSMPO forgings under this program were under discussion.

«Any meeting with Boeing representatives is always useful for development and deepening of our partnership, Sales & Marketing Director Mr. Leder indicated. - We discussed operational issues and current supplies as well as our short-and-long term cooperation».

One of main objectives of the visit to Verkhnaya Salda was participation in the meeting of Board of Directors of JV Ural Boeing Manufacturing during which an issue of scheduled personnel rotation was settled: Terry Saks will be replaced by Scott Rickett in the position of UBM CEO. In next two months Mr.Rickett who is now working for Boeing division in Malaysia will set to work in Salda.
