Renewable energies specialist Voltalia reported a 20% increase in fourth-quarter sales on Wednesday, driven in particular by higher energy sales.

Sales came to 170 million euros in the fourth quarter, compared with 142 million euros in the same period last year. In 2023, total sales will amount to 495.2 million euros, up 6% at current and constant exchange rates.

Energy sales in the fourth quarter were up 16% on the same period in 2022, and 23% for the year. This was due to the increase in operating capacity from 1.6 GW to 2.4 GW.

The company confirmed its nominal EBITDA target for 2023, of around 275 million euros. (Gaëlle Sheehan reports, edited by Zhifan Liu)
