Vardhman Textiles Limited reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2022. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales was INR 27,071.1 million compared to INR 19,470.7 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 27,555.5 million compared to INR 19,944.7 million a year ago. Net income was INR 3,221.2 million compared to INR 2,479.1 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 11.35 compared to INR 8.77 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 11.33 compared to INR 8.72 a year ago.
For the full year, sales was INR 96,223.4 million compared to INR 61,398.7 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 98,468.5 million compared to INR 63,414.3 million a year ago. Net income was INR 15,468.9 million compared to INR 4,143.5 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 54.58 compared to INR 14.67 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 54.42 compared to INR 14.56 a year ago.
Vardhman Textiles Limited is an India-based vertically integrated textile manufacturer. The Company is primarily in the business of manufacturing, purchase and sale of textiles. Its segments include Textiles and Acrylic Fibre. Its businesses include yarns, fabrics, acrylic fiber, garments, collections, and special steel. Its yarn products include specialty yarns, acrylic, fancy and hand-knitting yarns, dyed yarns, grey yarns and others. Its garment product includes 100% cotton, poly cotton, cotton stretch or cotton lycra, linen, cotton Tencel, Cotton viscose, and Melange. The Company produces 2,40,000 metric tons of yarn and 220 million meters of woven fabric. It produces a variety of steels in terms of type and size. The product range includes rounds, squares, peeled/drawn center-less ground bars of carbon steel, case-hardening steel, through hardening steel and others. Its subsidiaries include Vardhman Acrylics Limited and VTL Investments Limited.
