LSE: URKA) has today announced its production results for 2011. Over that period the facilities of Uralkali and Silvinit produced 10.83 million tonnes* of potassium chloride (KCl), which is 6% higher than their combined production in 2010.

Uralkali and Silvinit completed their combination in Q2 2011 creating one of the world's largest potash producers by output and production capacity.

Vladislav Baumgertner, Uralkali CEO:

"In 2011 combination with Silvinit and the capacity expansion programme allowed Uralkali to increase its production capacity by more than twice ensuring its leading position in the world potash production. In 2012 Uralkali will carry on its development programme and launch construction of the shafts of the Ust-Yayvinsky mine. The large-scale investment programme will enable the company to almost double its production capacity in the next 10 years".

The Company's assets consist of 5 mines and 8 ore-treatment mills situated in the towns of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Territory, Russia). Uralkali employs over 23,000 people.
