UnitedHealth Group reports EPS down 22% to $4.54 for Q2 2024, reflecting a reclassification of its remaining South American businesses as held for sale, as well as the impacts of the cyberattack on Change HealthCare.

On an adjusted basis, the insurance and healthcare services group saw its EPS rise by almost 11% to 6.80 dollars, on revenues up over 6% to 98.9 billion, with increases of 5% at UnitedHealthCare and 12% at Optum.

For the current full year, UnitedHealth Group has updated its EPS target range on a reported basis to between $15.95 and $16.40, but confirms its target range on an adjusted basis to between $27.50 and $28.
