Statements within the N-VA about Prime Minister de Croo resonate with the Open Vld.
- Yet also in the wake of the news about
Umicore and the federal government, the remarks from the Sixteen toBart De Wever (N-VA). There one could only moderately appreciate the N-VA riposte about whether or not to have a debate withAlexander De Croo (Open Vld). Among the Flemish nationalists, one had called the prime minister "a man of latex." -
"We have been busy the past few days with Arcelor and
Umicore . So we are working on and have no time to jump out of a flying machine or spend two days secluded in a castle. A campaign runs for a long time, but part of your campaign is also showing that you are just working on." -
After all, last weekend De Wever jumped out of a plane over
Deurne airport , which did get some press attention. With parachute, of course. "Afraid of sabotage? Gee, if I crash, my worries are gone and the electoral lists have already been submitted anyway," he told Het Laatste Nieuws. -
Tomorrow, by the way, Open Vld will present its 'Agriculture Plan', with the whole party leadership: in addition to De Croo,
Gwendolyn Rutten (Open Vld),Paul Van Tigchelt (Open Vld),Tom Ongena (Open Vld) Stephanie D'Hose (Open Vld),Jasper Pillen (Open Vld) and Hilde Vautmans (Open Vld), on a dairy farm inEssen .
