After the first two games of the season - losses to Manchester United and Manchester City - it was difficult to imagine that come January, we would be sitting in joint second position in the league table.

But that's exactly what has happened, and Harry Redknapp believes that the 2-0 win away to Wolves last September was the trigger for our current superb run of 14 wins in our last 18 Premier League fixtures.

As he prepares the lads to face Mick McCarthy's team on Saturday, Harry reflected upon that victory at his pre-match press conference.

"We played well away at Molineux. That was the start of our good run. We had a horrific start with two defeats, but we picked ourselves up from that and it shows great character," the manager said.

"We went there, Ledley came back from injury, Luka's problems were sorted out after the transfer window, and that was the start of us playing well."

Wolves currently sit in 16th place in the Premier League table, but were unlucky to lose to Chelsea at the start of January after commendable draws against Bolton and Arsenal over the Christmas period.

"We want to win tomorrow, it's a big game for us. But it's a difficult game; you never get an easy game with Mick's teams. They've got lots of ability and they'll work hard, and he gets the best out of his players.

"We know it's going to be a hard game, but it's a game we're looking to win."
