The team suffered agony in injury time at City on Sunday - just minutes after looking like we could secure a famous win.

After a goalless first half, table-topping City burst into life with two goals in the space of three minutes.

Samir Nasri blasted home the first goal on 56 minutes after David Silva spotted his run inside from the left.

It was soon 2-0 as Edin Dzeko flicked on Nasri's corner and Joleon Lescott bundled the ball over the line.

Up against a team with 10 wins out of 10 at home before the start of play, it looked an impossible task, but the lads hit back in style.

Jermain Defoe got us back into the game on the hour, capitalising when Stefan Savic misjudged Younes Kaboul's long pass, skipping around Joe Hart and sliding home.

It was soon 2-2 with another wonder goal for the Gareth Bale collection.

Aaron Lennon drove down the left, cut in and rolled the ball to the Welshman, who hit a first-time curler across and over Hart into the far corner.

We had the better of the latter stages and looked for all the world like we would win the game in the first minute of four minutes' added time.

Modric sent Bale away down the left, he got around Richards and squared low for Defoe, who had the goal gaping in front of him. Defoe slid in but couldn't fully connect and the ball ran agonisingly wide.

There was still time for one more chance though, and City grabbed it.

Mario Balotelli got into the penalty area, Ledley King slid in and brought him down.

Balotelli stepped up and drilled into the corner to leave the home fans in ecstacy, and the visiting Spurs fans wondering what might have been.
