Toshiba Plant Systems & Services Corporation is establishing a local corporation "TPSC (Vietnam) Co., Ltd." in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, which will start operation in June
2014.
Electricity demand in Vietnam is expected to grow at more than 10% each year against the backdrop of rapid economic growth. The new subsidiary is established in the capital of Hanoi and will join thermal power plant projects in the country.
There has been a plan to construct a large-scale industrial complex in Vietnam and the new subsidiary is expected to join projects in general industrial areas such as construction of factory, supply of facilities and others in the future. We are planning to further expand our scope of business based on taking advantage of our technological competence and performances in Southeast Asia.
