Tokushu Tokai Paper Co., Ltd. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the quarter, the company's net sales were JPY 18,820 million compared to JPY 17,854 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 1,167 million compared to JPY 533 million a year ago. Profit was JPY 1,495 million compared to JPY 2,418 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was JPY 109.78 compared to JPY 178.20 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was JPY 109.31 compared to JPY 177.53 a year ago.
Tokushu Tokai Paper Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company, principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of pulp and paper products, as well as paper processing, civil engineering and landscaping construction business. The Company operates in three business segments. The Industrial Material segment mainly involves in production, processing and sale of raw paper for cardboard and packaging paper, as well as power sale business. The Specialty Materials segment involves in manufacture, processing and sale of special printing paper and special function paper. The Living Product segment involves in the production, processing and sale of paper towel and toilet paper. The others business involve in civil engineering and landscaping work, production and sale of thermal recycle fuel, transportation business and warehouse business.
