Debica S.A. announced consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2015. For the quarter, the company announced posted sales revenues were down by 7.8% on a year to year basis. The sales was down compared to the same period in the previous year due to later than usual placement of orders for winter tires by the customers, because of stocks they had after warm winter and also due to oversupply of tires in the Polish market and resultant price decline. In the second quarter this year the net profit totalled PLN 36.3 million and was down by 11.2% compared to that in the previous year. Operating profit was PLN 29.3 million against PLN 34.2 million a year ago.

For the half year period, the company announced posted sales revenues totaling PLN 939.5 million, down by 8.7% compared to the first half of the previous year. In the first half of 2015 operating profit (EBIT) reached the level of PLN 81.2 million and was up by 4.2% compared to that in the same period 2015, which was possible due to rigorous control of costs of sales and general management ­ they were down by 32.2%. In the first half of 2015 net profit totaled PLN 71.9 million ­ down by 12.8% compared to the first half of last year, which was driven significantly by a provision set up for deferred tax totaling PLN 11 million, in relation to the operations in the EuroPark Mielec Special Economic Zone.
