The Transparency International India (TII) in coordination with the Vigilance Division of The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd Mumbai, organized a Panel Discussion on "Making integrity work for business" in the SCI Auditorium at Mumbai on Wednesday the 19th December 2012.
The Guest of Honour was Shri K.S. Ramasubban, (IAS - Retd), former Secretary, Central
Vigilance Commission and presently the Vigilance Commissioner, State Vigilance Commission of West Bengal.
Shri P.S. Bawa, (IPS - Retd), Chairman TII gave the Welcome Address. The Key Note address was given by Shri S. Hajara, C&MD of SCI. Shri M.B. Sagar, IPS, CVO of SCI was also one among the eminent speakers who participated in the panel discussion.
The panel discussion covered the following sessions viz. a) Effective implementation of Integrity Pact
b) Bringing 360 degree transparency in Public Procurement c) Transparency in the Banking Sector
d) Transparency in Public - Private Partnership e) Cartelization in Indian Industries.
Eminent speakers from the Government, Public Sector, Private Sector and NGOs participated in the various sessions.
Shri Ashutosh Mishra, Director (TII) summed up the finale and proposed a vote of thanks.
