Continuing its practice to offer fresh cash currency and note exchange facility to the devotees visiting the famous Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine (SMVDS) on the occasion of Navratra, J&K Bank today established a Special Counter at its branch in the SMVDS Bhawan.

CEO SMVDS Board Anshul Garg (IAS) and Bank's Executive Director (ED) Sudhir Gupta inaugurated the counter in the presence of Zonal Head (Udhampur) Rajesh Gupta, SDM Bhawan Umesh Sharma, Tehsildar Anil Charak, DGM shrine board Bhawan Pardeep Jamwal, DSP Bhisham Dubey, SHO Khayatiman Khajuria, Accounts Officer Sudershan Khajuria, Head Pandit Gopal Sharma, Branch Head Vishal Sharma and other officers of the Bank besides devotees from different corners of the country.

While commending the efforts of the Bank for extending convenience to the pilgrims besides providing all banking services to SMVDS Board and its employees, CEO SMVDS Board thanked the Bank's management. He also appreciated the Bank for providing the latest and convenient banking services throughout the route for the pilgrims.

Earlier, Executive Director Sudhir Gupta welcomed the dignitaries and extended gratitude to the Shrine Board for its continued support to the Bank and assured that best services will always be provided to the devotees and the Board.
He said, "Our branch remains committed to serve the shrine board, establishments at the Bhawan, people working there and all the devotees visiting the famous shrine. In fact, a team of the Bank officials has been dedicated full time to assist the board for management of cash received as a public offering at the shrine."

"The Bank has established an adequate number of branches and nine ATMs starting from Katra to the Bhawan to provide easily accessible banking services to the devotees visiting the shrine from different parts of the country besides facilitating fresh cash, exchange of notes on special occasions like Navratra", he added.

Notably, prior to inauguration on the auspicious occasion of the first Navratra, ED Sudhir Gupta performed Pooja within the branch premises along with the Zonal Head and other officials of the Bank.
In the end, Zonal Head (Udhampur) expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries present on the occasion.
