(Alliance News) - The Italian Sea Group Spa announced Wednesday the recent finalization of the process of selling the Viareggio shipyard to Next Yacht Group, a company operating in the segment of boats up to 50 meters, for EUR21 million.

The Viareggio shipyard stems from the acquisition of the Perini Navi business unit at the end of 2021.

The transaction concludes the plan to divest the assets of the Perini Navi business unit that TISG deemed non-strategic to its development project. In 2023, the company has already divested for EUR12 million - the building formerly used for Perini Navi offices, as corporate activities were centralized in the Marina di Carrara Headquarters with a view to more efficient business management.

With the recent transaction regarding the shipyard, which is in addition to the sale of the office building realized in 2023, the total value of the Perini Navi assets in Viareggio, acquired in 2021 and subsequently sold by the company, amounts to EUR33 million.

The Italian Sea Group gives up 0.2 percent to EUR9.80 per share.
