INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 29, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Finish Line Youth Foundation (FLYF) has appointed Marty Posch Executive Director. FLYF is a not-for-profit organization that provides financial support for community-based youth athletic programs and camps for disadvantaged and special needs children across the United States.

Posch comes to Finish Line from IUPUI, where he served as Assistant Community Relations Director. In that role, he directed all of IUPUI's campus community partnerships and related fundraising initiatives. While at IUPUI, Posch led the BackPack Attack School Supply drive -- coordinating efforts with IUPUI, the United Way, the Children's Museum, the YMCA, Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) and UPS to collect 750,000 school supply items for kids at IPS schools. Posch's experience also includes a six-year stint as Promotions and Marketing Director for WTTS Radio in Bloomington.

"We expect that Marty will take the Finish Line Youth Foundation to the next level," said Youth Foundation Immediate Past President Gary Cohen. "His passion for philanthropy, leadership in the community and experience as a proven fundraiser will be invaluable to the Youth Foundation as we look to further the mission of our organization."

Posch was the United Way of Central Indiana Volunteer of the Year in 2008 and has partnered with leading civic organizations to help support, educate and mentor underprivileged children throughout Indianapolis. As President and Co-Founder of Giving Sum (givingsum.org), Posch also currently leads a new initiative in Indianapolis that encourages young professionals to become more engaged in philanthropy within their local community.

He holds a master's degree in public affairs from IUPUI with an emphasis on not-for-profit management and a bachelor's degree in telecommunications from Indiana University, Bloomington.
