Commercialbank, recently held a certification ceremony for their Qatari staff that successfully completed the Commercialbank  Management Development Program. The London Metropolitan Business School  ( LMBS ) awarded certificates to the graduating staff who had successfully completed the eighteen month long programme. Present at the ceremony from London Metropolitan Business School were Professor Malcolm Gillies, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Raymond Madden, Dean of Business Studies along with the LMBS academic team.  Abdulla Al Raisi , Deputy CEO Commercialbank , management and staff from Commercialbank attended the event held at the Head office in Commercialbank Plaza.

Speaking on the occasion Andy Stevens, Group CEO said "Commercialbank is committed to training young leaders and equipping them with the necessary skills for the future. In August 2010 we signed a strategic partnership with The London Metropolitan Business School, a globally renowned centre of excellence, specialising in skills relevant to the banking sector. Today we witnessed the fruits of our union with them, by proudly celebrating the graduation of our first cohort of the Commercialbank Management Development Program."

Mr Stevens further added "The alliance with LMBS has proven so successful that we look forward to two further cohorts graduating in August 2012.  To undertake the program, candidates underwent rigourous selection criteria including a one to one interview with LMBS tutors to ensure suitability for admission to the program. At Commercialbank we are committed to developing our Qatari nationals and offer a range of development programs from school leavers to graduates to professional and executive development therefore providing invaluable career development at the Bank. Our partnership with LMBS highlights the commitment of Commercialbank to providing the best possible vocational training, in order to generate future generations of managers.  And in the bigger picture, it in turn highlights our commitment to the future prosperity of Qatar."

Praising the graduates Abdulla Al Raisi, Dy CEO  said  "They are an inspiration not only to those who will follow in their footsteps undertaking the program, but to the management and staff of Commercialbank alike.  Their graduation, following 18 months of extremely hard work and dedication, makes us immensely proud."

 Graduates were quoted giving some positive feedback on the programe :Nayef Al Beshri said  "The program provides the opportunity to possess a deeper understanding of banking as well increasing the sensitivity of your thinking. Enhancing or creating robust managerial skills is one of the key elements to the success of the program. I personally find this experience a fascinating and rewarding one."

Omran Al Sherawi said: "The program was unique and rich, giving employees a chance to improve their skills and knowledge without cutting them off from their jobs for a long period, I consider it a unique program. Although the classes didn't take that much of the employees (Trainees) time, the materials were well explained and were full of knowledge. I personally took good advantage of the program and I am progressing in my career."

Alanoud Al Khalaf said "The benefit we gained from the Management Trainee Program as well as from the tutors, trainers, and HR coordinators team inspire us to open our minds and eyes in a lot of areas to things we were absolutely unaware of, and I trust this experience has changed us and am sure it will positively affect our future life and career. I'm really proud, I'm one of the Cb family."
