The Awa Bank, Limited (TSE:8388) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 300,000 shares, representing 0.69% of the outstanding shares for ¥1,000 million. The purpose of the program is to implement a flexible capital policy in response to changes in the business environment and to improve shareholder returns. The plan will be valid up to March 1, 2019. As of December 31, 2018, the company had 43,456,324 shares outstanding and 1,783,676 shares in treasury.
