GRENOBLE, 11 JANUARY 2016TESSI announces acquisition of
RR Donnelley Document Solutions Switzerland
Tessi today announces the purchase of the entire share capital of RR Donnelley Document Solutions Switzerland and its subsidiary RR Donnelley Document Solutions Austria. A Swiss company based in Urdorf (Zurich canton), RR Donnelley Documents Solutions Switzerland is a subsidiary of Chicago-based RR Donnelley Group. The newly acquired companies will be consolidated from 1 January 2016.
RR Donnelley Document Solutions Switzerland is the country's recognised leading specialist in business process automation and compliance. The company has extensive experience in the field of inbound correspondence processing and is a major provider of document automation, multichannel communications management and electronic archiving solutions. The two companies are expected to generate combined revenues of around €17.4 million for 2015, with an operating margin of around 6%.
RR Donnelley Document Solutions Switzerland and Austria employ 82 people, 70 of whom are based in Switzerland (Urdorf, Geneva and Fribourg) while 12 work in Vienna. The company serves government departments and large companies operating in the insurance, communications, retail and banking sectors.
This acquisition will strengthen Tessi's presence in Switzerland, where the Group acquired a foothold in 2014 via the acquisition of Gdoc. It also offers opportunities for growth in Austria and the rest of the German-speaking world.
Tessi pursues its strategy of international expansion
Following the acquisitions of Graddo and Gdoc in 2014, the takeover of Diagonal Company last month will drive Tessi's roll-out in the Iberian Peninsula, where the Group is becoming one of the main operators, and in Latin America via a global and technology-driven offer on markets where demand is high.
The acquisition of RR Donnelley Document Solutions Switzerland and Austria will enhance Tessi's prospects in these countries, where its expertise should enable it to achieve rapid and profitable growth.
RR Donnelley Document Solutions Switzerland and Austria will be renamed Tessi document solutions Switzerland and Tessi document solutions Austria.
Tessi received legal advice from Swiss law firm Perreard de Boccard SA and financial advice from BDO France et Suisse.
