Leyland Barracudas Swimming Club has received a £500 contribution from our North West team. The club has teams which compete at local, county and national level, traveling up and down the country to with members of all ages and abilities taking part.

Andy Gaskell, chairman, said: 'The teams work really hard with most of them training more than six times a week to make sure they're ready to compete against their peers. This is especially impressive when a lot of them are school age and have to fit training around their education.

'This donation from Taylor Wimpey will allow the teams to prepare and travel to competitions without the added pressure of having to raise funds, meaning they can focus on their training. We're very thankful for Taylor Wimpey's generous donation and it's great to see them getting involved with the community.'

Leyland Barracudas train at the local leisure centre just a few minutes from the regions Albion Gate development.

Emily Nicklin, sales manager commented: 'We're always happy to support local community initiatives in the areas in which we build and Leyland Barracudas is a very worthy cause. It's a great club to be part of and teaches young people the importance of discipline and dedication while helping them stay active and have fun.

'We wish them the best of luck when competing and look forward to hearing about their success.'
