As a part of its munity development efforts, Tata Power Khandke site of Wind Operation organised 'Veterinary Health Camp' at Agadgaon Village in association with Animal Husbandry Department, Panchayat at Samiti, Ahmednagar in Maharashtra. The objective of this initiative was to provide free medical consultancy and health check-up treatment for animals in the region. The camp was inaugurated by Mrs. Sunitatai Netke, Sabhapati of Panchayat Samiti, Ahmednagar Taluka in the presence of other renowned personalities from Ahmednagar.

More than 350 animals were vaccinated in the camp for Foot and Mouth Diseases (FMD). During this camp, medicines for various diseases to the farmers for the welfare of animals were distributed. 15 Doctors from Animal Husbandry Department of Panchayat Samiti, Ahmednagar extended their services to the camp. With the FMD Vaccination other basic treatment and regular check-up had been given to animals.

More than 100 animals benefited through medicines distributed during the camp for de-worming treatment and 450 animals benefited through medicines provided for tick eradication treatment. More than 100 farmers from the village benefited through this camp.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr S Padmanabhan, Executive Director-Operations said "Tata Power is mitted towards taking initiatives for the betterment of society. We are pleased with the response that we have received for the initiative and will continue our efforts to ensure that more munities benefit from such initiatives."

In order to create awareness on general health care of animals, Dr. A.R. Rajapure, Livestock Development Officer of Panchayat Samiti, Ahmednagar gave informative speech and basic tips on better health care. In her concluding speech, Mrs Sunitatai Netke, Sabhapati Panchayat Samiti, Ahmednagar and other member of the camp appreciated Tata Power for organising this unique initiative and also felicitated team of Doctors and Tata Power officials.
