Schmolz + Bickenbach AG has denied the acquisition rumors reported by Handelsblatt at the beginning of January 2013 that Schmolz + Bickenbach had drawn interest from several financial investors. The supervisory board of the company as so far not been informed about a potential acquisition of the company, Vice President Hans-Peter Zehnder told Swiss paper SonntagsZeitung. He also added that the company is currently in close contact with its creditor banks and is examining different options, including a capital hike.
