Sun Messe Co., Ltd. (JASDAQ:7883) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 1,710,000 shares, representing 9.94% of the outstanding shares, at ¥444 per share for ¥759.24 million. The purpose of the program is to enhance capital efficiency and to implement a flexible capital policy in response to changes in the business environment. As of August 31, 2018, the company had 17,202,316 shares outstanding and 622,734 shares in treasury.
Sun Messe Co Ltd is a Japan-based company primarily engaged in the printing business, such as planning, design, plate making, printing, bookbinding and related incidental businesses, as well as the event business. The Company operates in two business segments. The Printing Business segment provides general commercial printing, packaging printing and publication printing. General commercial printed materials include company guides, joining guides, admission guides, in-house newsletters, integrated reports and more. Package printed materials include packages, wrapping paper, shopping bags, home delivery bags, and cardboard cases. Publications include instruction manuals, company histories, chronological histories, commemorative magazines, monthly magazines, administrative bulletins, and general books. The Event Business segment plans and operates various events.
