Strata Skin Sciences, Inc. Announces Board Changes

Strata Skin Sciences, Inc. announced that on May 22, 2020 it has accepted the resignation of David N. Gill from his position as a Board member and Chairman of the Board's Audit Committee. Gill resigned for personal reasons in order to focus attention on other matters. This resignation is not a result of any disagreement or dispute related to Strata’s operations, accounting policies, or practices. LuAnn Via, a member of the Company's Board since 2012 and a member of the Audit Committee since February 2017, agreed to serve as Chairperson of the Audit Committee. In addition to her long-standing service as a member of the Board, Via had previously served as Chairperson of the Board. Additionally, Samuel Navarro, a member of the Board since 2014, became a member of the Audit Committee. Navarro has previous experience having served on the Audit Committee through the end of the third quarter of the 2016 fiscal year.
STRATA Skin Sciences, Inc. is a medical technology company in dermatology. The Company is engaged in developing, commercializing and marketing products for the treatment of dermatologic conditions. The Company operates through two segments: Dermatology Recurring Procedures and Dermatology Procedures Equipment. The Companyâs products include the XTRAC and Pharos excimer lasers and VTRAC lamp systems utilized in the treatment of psoriasis, vitiligo and various other skin conditions. Its products also include the TheraClear Acne Therapy System utilized in the treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory, comedonal and pustular acne. The XTRAC and Pharos excimer laser technology emits highly concentrated ultraviolet (UV) light targeted primarily towards autoimmune dermatological skin disorders, such as psoriasis, vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, and eczema, among others. VTRAC is a UV light lamp system that works in much the same way as the XTRAC.
