Star Mica Co., Ltd. Announces Earnings Results for the Second Quarter Ended June 30, 2018; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Full Year of 2018

Star Mica Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported sales of JPY 17,554 million compared with JPY 12,306 million for the same period a year ago. Operating income was JPY 2,981 million compared with JPY 2,272 million for the same period a year ago. Recurring profit was JPY 2,673 million compared with JPY 1,951 million for the same period a year ago. Net income was JPY 1,817 million compared with JPY 1,353 million for the same period a year ago.
The company provided earnings guidance for the full year of 2018. For the year, the company expects to report sales of JPY 26,059 million, operating income of JPY 3,669 million, recurring profit of JPY 3,112 million and net income of JPY 2,144 million.
Star Mica Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in renovation apartment business, investment business and advisory business. The renovation apartment business is engaged in purchase of family type apartments mainly from the metropolitan area and lease to tenants as portfolio. After the tenants leave, the Company will renovate to increase asset value, and then sold as residences to end users through house agents. The investment business conducts investments activities including leasing and sale of real estate mainly in the metropolitan area and investment development business centering on securities. The advisory business is engaged in real estate brokerage, rental brokerage, rental management, building management, operation of monthly apartments, etc. and fee operation of renovation apartment business and investment business.
