Keeping busy techs organized with state-of-the-art tool storage

KENOSHA, Wis. (Nov. 29, 2016) - Technicians spend a lot of time in the service bay and an organized workspace is key to staying safe and productive in the shop. For techs looking to enhance current storage systems or create new ones, Snap-on provides innovative options for keeping techs and their tools accessible and shipshape.

"Many techs believe investing in reliable, high-quality tool storage is just as important as having the right tools for the job," says Scott Amundson, Snap-on product manager. "To accommodate a variety of customer needs, Snap-on offers a wide selection of tool storage options and accessories."

The following Top Tools represent a few of the new tool storage products in the Snap-on line-up:

  1. Snap-on® KTL1023 72" Masters Series Roll Cab

Featuring three super wide drawers, the KTL1023 is a spinoff from the popular KRL1023. Adding a four-inch drawer on the KTL1023 provides storage space for larger tools like 48- or 54-inch prybars, while the other two drawers (five- and three-inch) give techs vertical socket storage and room for long handled tools. The patented Lock'n Roll® latch mechanism makes drawers easy to open, but prevents unwanted drifting during movement. Swivel-lock mag wheels have patented ISO-Ride® technology built in for a smooth transition across the shop floor, and the high-security tubular lock and collar is a true theft deterrent to keep tools safe during downtime.

  2. Snap-on® KA2637 Slot Panels for Masters and EPIQ Roll Cabs

The KA2637 redefines the idea of additional storage space. When used with optional storage trays and tool mounts, the KA2637 is designed to hold accessories, hand tools, cleaning supplies, shop lubricants and more. Gone are the days of messy grease and oil spills inside tool storage compartments. These unique panels are mountable on the left or right side of roll cabs and can be organized to eliminate bulky items from taking up drawer space needed for power tools. The panel is secured using handle holes and fits both EPIQ and Masters 1000 series handle hole patterns. The KA2637 is engineered to save space, add storage and draw attention with six slot panel colors available.

  3. Snap-on® KWSP PowerTop™ Work Surfaces

When it's time to power up, techs don't need to leave their own service bay with the addition of a KWSP work surface. These bedliner and stainless steel options provide an integrated power source to give techs a protected work area and more places to charge tools and accessories. Available as an add-on or factory installed on Masters and Classic roll cabs, the durable, easy-to-clean KWSP work surface is resistant to strong shop chemicals. The bedliner top is coated with a substance similar to that used on trucks, while the stainless steel top is constructed from high-grade, 16-gauge 304 stainless steel. The UL Listed 110V plug is breaker protected to keep laptops, tablets, cell phones and diagnostic tools within easy reach. Two additional outlets on the back expand the work surface.
