Simran Farms Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was INR 1,060.98 million compared to INR 1,115.9 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 1,061.07 million compared to INR 1,117.72 million a year ago. Net loss was INR 25.13 million compared to net income of INR 88.75 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was INR 6.66 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of INR 23.37 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was INR 6.66 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of INR 23.37 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was INR 3,088.26 million compared to INR 2,515.78 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 3,088.91 million compared to INR 2,518.8 million a year ago. Net income was INR 63.96 million compared to INR 186.16 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 16.76 compared to INR 49.03 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 16.76 compared to INR 49.03 a year ago.
Simran Farms Limited is an India-based company. The Company is primarily engaged in poultry breeding and farming activities. It is mainly focused on integration/contract farming with poultry farmers and consolidation of poultry activities and has also arranged its own manufacturing set-up for production of poultry feeds. Further, its breeding farms have automation systems, cages for scientific rearing and artificial insemination and balanced nutrition management for each bird. It has presence in various segments of the poultry sector, including breeding, hatching, broiler farming, feed processing/production, chicken processing, and vet medicine (through Simfa Labs), among others. The Company's parent poultry breeding farms are located near Indore in Madhya Pradesh. Its hatcheries and contract rearing farms are located in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu and Maharashtra.
