Deflamo AB announced that it has received a new order for Apyrum for use in flame-retarded, coated fabric. This is a breakthrough order that opens up a new application area within the PVC segment. After a long period of joint cooperation in the development of the product, have been able to achieve the specified properties, and customer has decided to proceed with the production and launch of the new product.

The coated fabric is made from reinforced and flamed-retarded PVC. Coated fabrics are used, for example, in tarpaulins and hoods, lifting devices, as well as sports and safety equipment. In this case, an endeavour was made to obtain better environmental properties than were possible to achieve through the use of traditional flame retardants and, at the same time, keep the same fire class.

With the new product, customer will be able to offer a competitive fabric that has better properties. The first order is modest in size but will be repeated in increasing volumes throughout the year.
