The Board of Shine Corporate Ltd. announce that Courtney Petersen will transition to Managing Director allowing Simon Morrison to move into the role of Executive Director, with effect from the release of the Company's fiscal Year 2016 results on 24 August 2016. This follows Ms Petersen's appointment in March 2015 as the CEO of Shine Lawyers, a subsidiary of the company and, more recently, her appointment to the Board as an Executive Director. Simon Morrison, the current MD, will remain an Executive Director focussing on key strategic initiatives including sourcing acquisitions, new practice areas and geographies, as well as regulatory and policy work.
Shine Justice Ltd is engaged in the provision of plaintiff legal services throughout mainland Australia and New Zealand. It is also engaged in the conducting insurance recovery consulting business in New Zealand. It operates in two segments: Personal Injury (PI) and New Practice Areas. The Personal Injury segment specializes in damages-based plaintiff litigation legal services, primarily relating to personal injuries. PI's core business includes motor vehicle accidents, workersâ compensation, public liability, and abuse law. PI segment brands include SB Law Pty Ltd, Sciaccaâs Lawyers Pty Ltd, Bradley Bayly Holdings Pty Ltd, and Claims Consolidated Pty Ltd. The New Practices Areas segment includes disability insurance and superannuation claims, asbestos and dust disease, federal compensation law, medical law, class actions, commercial disputes, and private client services. New Practices Areas segment brands include Shine NZ Services Pty Ltd and Best Wilson Buckley Family Law Pty Ltd.
