The Seb group has announced that its sales (provisional unaudited figures) have reached ME 7960 in 2022, down 4.7% at constant exchange rates and scope of consolidation (cpc) compared with 2021.
Sales fell in the Consumer segment (-5.9% at cpw), with -11.1% in EMEA, -5.5% in the Americas, but +2.3% in Asia.
Sales in the 'Professional' category will rise by 9.2% between 2021 and 2022.
In the 4th quarter, Seb recorded a 5.6% decline in group sales, again at cgt, to ME 2400.
"These performances attest to the Group's good resilience in a tense geopolitical environment and in relation to a record 2021 history," Seb believes. Compared with 2019, the last normative year, 2022 sales are up 8.2%, confirming a positive trajectory over the long term, the Group stresses.
In this context, Groupe Seb confirms its operating margin target for 2022 and now estimates that it will be at the upper end of the 7.0% to 7.5% range.
