Seacube container leasing : 3 New Ways to Seamlessly Collaborate with Box and Microsoft

At Box we are always investing in new ways to deliver the best possible content collaboration experience in the cloud. Some of the most popular content on Box is Microsoft Office files. In fact, we have billions of Office files managed on Box with millions more added daily. Whether they're editing a Microsoft Excel worksheet, commenting on the latest Microsoft PowerPoint presentation or sharing a Microsoft Word doc, our customers use Box and Office 365 together every day.

Over the last year our relationship with Microsoft has grown to cover a broad range of products. Last year we joined the Microsoft Cloud Storage Partner Program and introduced Box for Office Online. And today, we're excited to announce with Microsoft deeper integrations with Office Online, Office for iOS and Outlook.com:

Real-time co-authoring in Box for Office Online: Edit a file at the same time as colleagues and external partners and see all changes being made as they happen. Whether it's a project plan in Word, sales proposal in PowerPoint or financial plan in Excel, you can edit it in real time with others, in Box. All edits automatically save, avoiding version conflict - plus, you can pull up a previous version to reference old content whenever needed. Check out this video to see how it works!

Accessing and Editing Box content in Office for iOS: Box can now be selected as a default storage service for Office on iOS, which means you can access all of your Box files from Office and edit them using Microsoft's native mobile apps. Further, when starting directly in Box's iOS app, you can open Office to edit your files and those changes automatically saved back to Box. Or create a fresh Word, PowerPoint, or Excel document, assign tasks to specific colleagues and save to Box. The ability to create, open, edit and save Office content in the Box for iOS app enables customers to efficiently create and collaborate on content from anywhere.

Sharing Office content on Box with Outlook.com: Box is going to be integrated with the new Outlook.com so that you can easily find and share any file in Box from Outlook.com. In the next few weeks, joint customers can click to attach files, instantly access all of their Box content and select any files they want to send. Even if you don't have any of your content saved to the desktop, you can always send files from Box. Thousands of customers across a variety of industries including AstraZeneca, AngloAmerican, The Coca-Cola Company, CAA, Del Monte and Toyota will be able to leverage enhanced integrations with Box. Businesses are taking full advantage of the robust and mobile content creation capabilities in Office coupled with Box's rich collaboration tools like comments, real-time alerts and task management to boost productivity and collaboration. By working with Microsoft to deliver these integrations, we are empowering our customers to work from anywhere, the way they want to and with tools they already have.

These advancements are part of the ongoing work we're delivering with Microsoft to further interoperability, make it easy to work on content from anywhere and deliver seamless, integrated experiences to our customers. Last year, we introduced the Box for Windows 10 app so users can access their Box content easily across Windows PCs, phones and tablets. We also integrated with Microsoft's enterprise mobility management solution, Intune, so that customers can more securely access and work on Office files from their mobile devices. These enhancements put content at the center of our customers workflow. Whether they're working in the browser, their desktop or mobile devices - customers can use Box to collaborate on all their Office files.
