Scotiabank has appointed Francisco Sardon de Taboada as CEO and country manager of Scotiabank Chile. Sardon, who will assume the post on August 1, 2013, was formerly senior vice president of the corporate banking division at Scotiabank Peru and SME division at Scotiabank Chile. Before joining the company, he was CEO and country manager of Standard Chartered Peru.

Sardon replaces James Callahan whose departure was announced earlier July 2013.
