Safilo, net sales and margins improve in 2022

(Alliance News) - The board of directors of Safilo Group Spa announced that it has reviewed some of the key preliminary figures for fiscal 2022, reporting revenues of EUR1.07 billion, up 11 percent from EUR969.6 million in the same period last year.

In the fourth quarter of the year, preliminary net sales amounted to EUR245.4 million, up 5.7 percent from EUR232.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Also on a preliminary basis, Safilo ended fiscal 2022 with adjusted Ebitda of around EUR101 million. The figure, although slightly below management's expectations, is still up about 24 percent from EUR81.5 million recorded in 2021.

As of Dec. 31, 2022, group net debt was EUR113 million, down slightly from EUR115.4 million as of Sept. 30, 2022.

Safilo on Thursday closed in the green by 1.0 percent at EUR1.59 per share.
