UrtheCast Corp. announced that RSC Energia has launched components that will support the installation of UrtheCast's cameras on the International Space Station. The launch of these components on Progress Supply Ship 52P from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan occurred on July 28, along with a payload of ISS supplies.

These components were developed, built, and tested by RSC Energia, as required under UrtheCast's strategic agreement with Roscosmos. When both components, RSC Energia's and UrtheCast cameras, are fully installed, UrtheCast will have the ability to precisely track targeted locations on the Earth below with its high-resolution video camera. To complete the installation, these components will require a spacewalk.
