On Saturday 4 March 2017, Rosetti Marino handed over Tug 'ANTIGNANO' the first of two sister RASTAR 3200W tugboats ordered in 2015, to Livorno-based Shipowner & Operator, Fratelli Neri,.

Before taking on its current name, 'Antignano' was registered at the Harbour Master's Office with the provisional name of 'C.118 Rosetti'.

The tug was built on a Robert Allan design and it has a length of 32,00 m, a moulded beam of 13.20 m, a depth of 5.43 m, a maximum draft of 6.17 m (considering the skeg).

It is driven by two main MAN 7L27/38 engines producing a total power of 2555 kW at 800 rpm and two SRP 4000 Schottel thrusters with 2.8 m dia. propellers installed with a new concept and high-efficiency nozzle, thanks to which their performance exceeds the contract requirements.

In fact, the tug reaches a maximum speed of over 14 knots, with a bollard pull of 94.8 tonnes. The two winches are of Rolls Royce Marine Rauma supply, both with a double drum and 'ex-proof' certification for use in hazardous environments.

This tug, as well as her sister tug which will be delivered in April, has been designed and built to ensure the highest performance in terms of maneuverability and towing and escort services. In particular, it is specialized in providing ship assist services to LNG terminals, thanks to a gas detection system, as well as its ability to operate in hazardous environments by activating gas-tighting systems that makes it a prototype on a worldwide level.

The shape of the hull, developed by the designer, helps to give this tug an outstanding ability to operate in rough seas (seakeeping performance) without overlooking on-board comfort, thanks to the excellent noise and vibration levels that distinguish the accommodation areas built in compliance with the MLC2006 convention to accommodate up to 5 officers on board.
Even the brands of the installed machinery/equipment of the highest quality, make this tug a prototype with undisputed commercial potential.

Antignano's other main features are also clearly highlighted in the Class notation issued by the RINA Classification Society, which demonstrates the versatility of this vessel: C, XHULL, XMACH - Tug - Escort Tug, Towing, Fire Fighting Ship 1, Waterspray , Oil Recovery Ship (FP <60 deg), IWS, Salvage, XAUT-UMS, AUT-PORT, SYS-NEQ 1, Unrestricted Navigation

The delivery of Antignano, the eighth tugboat built by Rosetti Marino for Fratelli Neri, seals a twenty-year collaboration between the two companies, confirming Rosetti Marino's undisputed leadership in Italy in the construction of next-generation tugs .
