OXFORD, Conn. (AP) _ RBC Bearings Inc. (ROLL) on Friday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $21.6 million.

On a per-share basis, the Oxford, Connecticut-based company said it had net income of 86 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 90 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 85 cents per share.

The maker of bearings and components posted revenue of $145.9 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $142.2 million.

For the current quarter ending in March, RBC Bearings said it expects revenue in the range of $155 million to $160 million.

RBC Bearings shares have declined slightly more than 2% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 6.5% in the last 12 months.
