PT BERKAH BETON SADAYA TBK ESTABLISH A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH WIKA, BEBS WILL CARRY OUT INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT IN AZERBAIJAN.

PT Berkah Beton Sadaya Tbk (IDX:BEBS, OTCQX:BHBSY) expanded its business reach by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Infrastructure Development in Azerbaijan with PT Wijaya Karya ("WIKA). The MoU was signed on Thursday (18/8) at the Azerbaijan Embassy in Jakarta. The signing of the MoU witnessed directly by the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Indonesia, Jalal Sabir Mirzayev, was for the transportation, energy, telecommunications, residential and building infrastructure development projects.

BEBS President Director Hasan Muldhani revealed that the BEBS-WIKA business expansion plan was in the form of Joint Operations for restoration and reconstruction projects in the Karabakh and East Zangazur regions and other areas in Azerbaijan. The joint operation includes infrastructure development in the form of roads, bridges, railways, public transportation terminals, airports, electricity networks, gas pipelines, power plants, irrigation canals, apartments, schools and government offices.

According to Hasan, this collaboration will be sustainable in responding to challenges in competing in the global arena. The synergy between BEBS and WIKA for project implementation in Azerbaijan is very strategic. With this collaboration, BEBS as an infrastructure supporting industry company and WIKA as a construction business player can strengthen each other's business. This collaboration is a form of technology and business development innovation as well as increasing competence and capabilities for both parties," said Hasan.
