A key executive who drove some big-ticket deals during his 10 years at Malaysia's Khazanah Nasional is leaving to TPG. Mr. Ganen Sarvananthan, the sovereign wealth fund's head of investments, will take up a role as a partner and managing director of TPG's Asian business at the end of April. He is also a former director of mobile phone firm M1 and was instrumental in the revamp of Khazanah-controlled UEM Sunrise.

Mr. Sarvananthan is well regarded in Singapore's banking circles and has worked closely with Temasek Holdings in joint-venture property projects with Khazanah here and in Malaysia's southern growth corridor. He will be succeeded on Feb. 1 by Mr. Dominic Silva, now Khazanah's executive director of investments.
