- Hosted the '2023 North American Export Consultation for SMEs and Startups' in New York, USA on the 17th (local time)

- Actively utilizes its knowledge from operating a global network of over 80 bases to foster the mutual growth of businesses

POSCO INTERNATIONAL (Vice Chairman Jeong Tak) conducted an export consultation meeting in New York, U.S. on the 17th to assist SMEs and Startups with eco-friendly technologies in penetrating the North American market.

Five SMEs and Startups, which include CK World Co., Ltd., Korea Water Technology Co., Ltd., Reset Company Co., Ltd., Ozcepa Co., Ltd., and Green Selected Whale Global Co., Ltd., participated in this event, which was selected through the 'Go-Global with Posco International' mutual growth program.

Since last year, POSCO INTERNATIONAL has collaborated with the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) to discover SMEs and Startups with outstanding technologies that align with their eco-friendly business direction and actively aided them in expanding overseas.

At this event, the company arranged one-on-one export consultations with over 20 North American companies that make eco-friendly products, including Budget Petroleum Trading LLC, Red Rock Unlimited, and CS KOIDA LLC, to provide opportunities for Korean SMEs and Startups to enter the North American market.

In particular, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the New York Association of Korean-American Businesses Inc. during the consultation. They plan to help Korean SMEs and Startups enter not only New York but the entire North American market.

The ability of POSCO INTERNATIONAL to actively support overseas expansion for SMEs and Startups stems from its global network spanning more than 80 bases across 45 countries as well as its expertise gained from managing over 3,800 overseas business partners. Last August, the company held a 'Global Moving Ability Improvement Consultation' for 20 SMEs and Startups at the POSCO CHANGeUP GROUND, a facility owned by POSTECH's technology holding company, POSTECH HOLDINGS, in Korea.

"We have always wanted to enter the U.S. market, but faced many difficulties due to our lack of networking resources and information," Lee Seung-il, Vice President of Reset Company Co., Ltd. (maker of solar panel cleaning robots), who participated in the export consultation event, said. "This consultation gave us a glimpse into the growth potential of our product in the North American market. Therefore, we plan to continue working with connected buyers to achieve our first export to the U.S."
