Pontex Polyblend Co.,Ltd announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 263.665 million compared to TWD 245.041 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 4.581 million compared to operating Income of TWD 2.225 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 5.920 million compared to net income of TWD 9.618 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.07 compared to basic earnings per share of TWD 0.11 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 503.118 million compared to TWD 471.302 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 5.060 million compared to TWD 5.984 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 2.582 million compared to TWD 8.141 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.03 compared to TWD 0.1 a year ago.
PONTEX POLYBLEND CO., LTD. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the design, development and manufacturing of spare parts and engineering plastics. The Company mainly operates through two business segments. The Equipment Components segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, processing and trading of plastic injection molding products, including the soles, sports equipment and related spare parts. The Composite Materials segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, processing and trading of engineering plastic materials, including the glass and fireproof composite materials, as well as nylon 6 and nylon 66 cold resistant materials. The Company mainly operates its businesses in Taiwan and the rest of Asia.
