Update re Application for Planning Permission for Double Gas-Powered Generation Site ('peakers') in the South West of England

Plutus PowerGen (AIM: PPG), the AIM quoted power company focused on the development and operation of flexible energy generation ('FlexGen') projects in the UK, announces that, earlier today, the application for planning permission for the development of a double gas-powered site in the South West of England was initially rejected on the grounds of perceived poor air quality.

The Board are disappointed by this initial rejection and are considering all options available to them, including, but not limited to, an appeal. The Board remains confident in its FlexGen strategy of bringing online further high margin gas operations and has a pipeline of other prospective peaker sites.

Further details on the planning application were announced by the Company on 16 April 2019.
