Piraeus Bank Appoints Dimitris Mavroyiannis as Executive General Manager and Group COO, Effective January 1, 2019

Piraeus Bank announced that Mr. Dimitris Mavroyiannis has been appointed Executive General Manager and Group COO effective January 1, 2019. Dimitris has more than 20 years of experience in the banking sector. Since 1999, he has become a pioneer of internet banking in Greece, focusing on banking transformation, innovation and value creation. Since 2012, Dimitris has been working in the Middle East, initially at the Commercial Bank of Qatar as Chief Technology Officer and then at the Commercial Bank of Dubai as Chief Information Officer. In these roles, he focused on the transformation of Banking Operations & IT and on digital banking development. Prior to that, he held various positions at Eurobank. He was Group CIO, CEO of e-Solutions, Head of Retail IT strategy & e-banking manager.
