PGS ASA specializes in providing geophysical services and in the production of oil and gas. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- geophysical services (59.6%): acquisition, processing and marketing non-exclusive seismic data to oil and gas companies for prospecting and developing reserves, as well as the management of production fields;
- seismic data acquisition services under exclusive contracts (36.9%);
- seismic data processing and interpretation services (3.3%). The group also offers services enabling companies to improve their knowledge of the structure and monitoring of their reserves;
- other (0.2%).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Norway (22.5%), the United Kingdom (4.2%), Europe (2%), Angola (11.2%), Namibia (7.3%), Africa (7.4%), Brazil (14.8%), America (4.7%), Malaysia (10.4%), Asia-Pacific (4.6%), Egypt (10.4%) and other (0.5%).
