Novo Nordisk announced on Monday that it had bought back 436,152 of its own shares since the start of its share buyback program, for a total of DKK 397 million.

The Danish biopharmaceutical group says these acquisitions are part of its program to buy back up to 2.2 billion kroner worth of 'B' shares between May 7 and August 5.

With these operations, Novo says it now holds more than 10.5 million 'B' shares in treasury, representing around 0.2% of its capital.
