On October 28, 2016, the Board of Directors of Nova LifeStyle, Inc. received notice of resignation from Mr. Peter Kam, a director of the company, the Chairman of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and of the Audit Committee of the Board, effective on November 1, 2016. Mr. Kam indicated that his resignation was due to personal reasons. On November 2, 2016, the Board appointed Mr. Umesh Patel, a director of the Company, as the Chairman of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and of the Audit Committee of the Board, effective on November 2, 2016.
