Nokia has announced that it has been chosen by telecom operator T-Mobile for a dedicated gateway solution, which will support LTE, 5G NSA and 5G SA technologies for its nationwide fixed wireless broadband Internet (HSI) traffic.

The Finnish network equipment supplier will deploy its Multi-Access Gateway (MAG) solution, which will enable the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary to improve service scalability and time-to-market.

"The Nokia MAG solution will enable us to simplify our architecture and reduce operational lifecycle management and our energy footprint," emphasizes John Saw, T-Mobile's Chief Technology Officer.
