Nokia appointed Tarun Chhabra as New India Head amidst global restructuring. Tarun Chhabra, previously the Head of mobile networks and senior VP at Nokia, has assumed the role of the organization's new India Head as part of a significant restructuring effort that also involved rationalization across various functions, including sales and marketing, resulting in job cuts. Chhabra takes over from Sanjay Malik, the senior vice president, who will remain with the company until March 31, 2024.

Malik, who led Nokia's operations in the Indian market for nearly eight years, was part of the global customer experience or sales vertical for India, reporting to Rick Corker, Nokia's chief customer experience officer, according to moneycontrol. Chhabra, reporting to Nokia's president of Mobile Networks, Tommi Uitto, will be responsible for both the India business of the mobile networks group and the Indian market. Nokia India confirmed Chhabra's appointment as the new country head for the Indian market, effective April 2024.
