Newport Exploration Ltd. reported on the success of the Bauer-25 Well on Ex-PEL 91 as reported by Drillsearch Energy Ltd. on January 13, 2016. Ex-PEL 91 (Beach Energy Ltd. ("Beach") 40% and operator/Drillsearch 60%) is located in the Cooper Basin, Australia and is subject to the Company's 2.5% gross overriding royalty. The Bauer-25 Well was spudded on 28th December 2015 and is the northernmost well drilled on the Bauer field, located approximately 400 metres north of Bauer-15 and 1,350 metres southwest of Bauer North-1. Bauer-25 targeted the McKinlay Member and Namur Sandstone reservoirs, with the Birkhead Foundation providing a secondary target.

The Well successfully tested the northern extension of the Bauer field and was cased, and suspended as a future producer following intersection of a 2 metre net oil column in the Namur Sandstone and a 3.5 metre gross and bearing interval in the overlaying McKinlay Member. Success at Bauer-25 provides encouragement for further appraisal drilling in the area.
