NewBridge Bank Appoints New Winston-Salem Commercial Banking Teammates and Adds Bank-wide SBA Lending Professional

GREENSBORO, N.C. - NewBridge Bank announced today the appointment of five highly experienced banking professionals who will support the Bank's growing commercial banking presence both locally and throughout the state. All five teammates will be headquartered at NewBridge Bank's Winston-Salem office at 161 S. Stratford Rd.

Serving the Winston-Salem market, the Bank has named Trent Wall as senior vice president and Winston-Salem city executive; Edwin L. Bland as senior vice president and commercial banker; J. Bryan Lunsford as vice president and commercial portfolio manager; and Amber D. Westberg as Sales Assistant. The Bank has also named Patrick H. Simpson as vice president and Small Business Administration (SBA) business development officer, a newly created role serving the Bank's entire footprint.

Trent Wall has 13 years of financial services experience, with the last ten being in Winston-Salem. In his position with NewBridge Bank, he will be responsible for managing and further developing the client portfolio for the area. He will also work closely with existing clients while spearheading business development initiatives in Winston-Salem and surrounding communities. Wall, a native of Winston-Salem, is a graduate of the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management.   

Edwin L. Bland has nearly 25 years of experience in the areas of loan portfolio management, underwriting, credit and commercial relationship management and revenue generation. His prestigious career also includes the role of general manager and chief financial officer for a locally-owned importer and distributor of functional and decorative hardware. In his new position he will be responsible developing new commercial banking business. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, Bland is also graduated from the Mid-Management and Advanced Management Program of the North Carolina School of Banking. 

J. Bryan Lunsford has eight years of experience in commercial relationship management, credit analysis, loan reviews, loan renewals, and loan approvals. In his previous role, he served as a lead portfolio manager six commercial lenders and a total commercial loan portfolio in excess of $200 million. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in economics, the North Carolina Bankers Association School of Banking, and the Risk Management Association Commercial Lending School.

Most recently a loan administrative assistant for a regional community bank, Amber D. Westberg's position at NewBridge Bank will include the opening and maintenance of accounts and services while also supporting her teammates in fulfilling loan, deposit, treasury services and other requests. Westberg, a Rhodes Scholarship Nominee, graduated from Ripon College with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both psychology and anthropology.

Patrick H. Simpson joins NewBridge Bank with a 25-year career spanning business development, commercial lending, retail and mortgage banking, risk management and mortgage guaranty insurance services with several banks and mortgage companies throughout the state. As an SBA Business Development Officer, he will spearhead SBA lending efforts throughout NewBridge Bank's footprint. He graduated from Radford University with Bachelor of Science in Economics and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University.
